Psalms 149:3-4 “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.” Portrays the attitude and temperament of David who God said was a man after his own heart. David knew how to praise the Lord with every fiber of his being.

We believe that every potential for praise and worship ought to be developed, thus dance and drama are avenues of worship that will enhance the growth and maturity of the people.

In the modern church with the fields getting ever larger and wider it behooves us as Christians to equip ourselves with available tools to effectively bring the Good News of the love of Christ that gives to man eternal life. The more impressed we are with Christ’s love the more determined we are to perfect our ability to tell the unsaved of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We maintain an effective ministry utilizing such media as radio, television, internet and intranet communications and print media to enhance its ability to spread the Gospel locally, nationally and internationally.

The Ministry of Ushering is a vital part of any church ministry. Ushers represent the church in a very visible way and help set the tone in preparation for the worship service, as well as assist with the smooth operation within the service. Even if detailed policies
have not yet been worked out for emergency situations, ushers need to be ready at all times to respond as directed when there is a disturbance, illness, or other situation that requires special attention.

Ushering is an opportunity to serve God by serving His people. It is a marvelous way to actively and faithfully participate in the functioning of the church. Ushers see to it that the services flow
smoothly and orderly, thus heightening the mood to receive God’s Word.

Ushering provides a wonderful way to begin to grow and to continue to serve in a very important role for the church. The role of the usher frequently is underestimated for its importance. Good ushers are “people-persons” who make people coming into the church feel welcome and appreciated. In doing so, ushers contribute greatly to making everyone’s church experience a positive one.

Think back to when you first attended a new church – probably one of the ushers had some impact on you and your family. A positive experience from an usher may have led you to join that church. Thus, the opinion the visitor forms of the church is directly influenced by the usher’s attitude, conduct, and appearance.
